Arif Alper Cevik is a Professor of Emergency Medicine (Turkey), and A/Professor of Internal Medicine (UAE), clerkship director of Emergency Medicine at United Arab Emirates University and Associate Program Director of ACGME-I accredited Tawam-John Hopkins Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He is a fellow of Emergency Medicine Association of Turkey (EMAT) and three times member of the EMAT board. He represents Turkey and EMAT in Asian Board of Emergency Medicine since 2011 and International Federation of Emergency Medicine meetings intermittently since 2002. He is one of the founding editors of a FOAMed website, acilci.net, which has 300.000 visits per month. He is also director of the iEmergency Medicine for Medical Students and Interns Project which aiming free, reusable emergency medicine educational resources for medical students/interns and clerkship directors. His professional interest areas are emergency medicine education, medical education, trauma management and point of care ultrasound. He also interests digital publishing, presentation design, and time management. Currently, he is faculty member in United Arab Emirates University and lives in Al Ain and helping to the development of Emergency Medicine education in UAE.
